Hi!
In sweden the biggest dealer with phones wont get anymore P990 from end of june, i think this mean that the P1 is close to release maybe july or early august!

Nah - it must be Sony Ericcson doing what they did with the P910i - so it means the replacement for the P990 is about a year away!

For me it is... unless it's gonna have the same problems with the memory, the, for me it won't be a replacement. I guess it's up to peoples and their needs, rather than lines of production.

I don't see the P990 in local (in Hong Kong) service providers' show room any more. I am wondering if it is going to be obsolete so soon after it started to function a little bit satisfactorily.

It is in the short term at least. There may another P series later on which more closely matches the spirit of the P990 (ie, has a flip) but for a good while at least the P1 will be SE's flagship UIQ smartphone, like it or not. And on paper at leas it is superior to the P990, too.
