> Dual Core is this a Problem with Flashing ?
Bookmark topic
Used a program called Client from:
http://www.totalserver.net
Not sure if this is a bug that needs fixing, but I only could flashed my K750i to W800i when I used a friends PC Computer which had a standard CPU..
My set up is a AMD Dual Core 5000mhz + 2GB patriot Memory 667mhz+Windows XP Pro S2.
I had all my USB Sockets empty apart from the Sony Cable (original Cable, also tried another Sony Cable, so the Cable was fine) and was not running any ScreenSavers or Antivirus Programs at the time,, CPU Process was 0- 1%
Yet it said Start Signal Received, then could not communicate ?
Yet when I wasn't using the program called Client :
http://www.totalserver.net/
I could easily transfer my Tunes and Photos from my Mobile ( so both the phone and PC was working fine?) everyday with no problems...
So is this a bug in the software that doesn't like Dual Core Processors ??? :-
Anybody else had this problem with Dual Core CPU's ?
Also one last thing,, At the time I bought a credit from totalserver, I've downloaded 2 W800i firmwares+default Languages, 2005 version and 2006, but didnt notice at the time I only flashed the 2005 version, I need to know is there any Free Sony Flasher I could use to update this 2006 Firmware now, instead of paying out another £8 just to flash this update?
Thanks for any info...

possibly the client isn't dual core compatible, though I'd expect they would have had complaints by now if it wasn't. Have you tried SEUS to see if it's flashing generally or just totalserver?

Well its flashed now, but cant see why it wouldn't work on my PC...
Any advice on a free flasher so I can update the latest W800i firmware now, or do I have to pay another £8 GBP to update it again?
Regards......

if your w800 is CID36:
To write files MAIN and FS directly with Far Manage and
FAR manager (for those who want to learn)
if yours is a CID49:
DB2010 cid49 with Far + SEFP, Tested with k750(it should work for yours too)
