Just bought a samsung 37 inch LCD. And am using the pacific 1002 dvd player.

When playing a compressed dvd (copy) i get lots of ghosting which i expected, but playing a normal dvd i get a little bit of ghosting.

Anything I can do to make it better quality. Do gold plated scart leads help?

Got mine pricematched from John Lewis for £679.99 including 5 year guarantee.

Decent then is it ?, haven't seen many reviews for it, nice to know.

without wishing to sound rude maybe the tv is highlighting the problems of a cheap supermarket dvd player.
can you try a decent make dvd through the tv using the same cables etc. as with a lot of cheap supermarket brands like this one picture is usually the first compromise.
or see if you can take the dvd player to a shop like richer sounds or sevenoaks (or anywhere with demo rooms)to try out a decent scart cable through a similar tv and see if that improves the results.

Does anyone know the best settings to be used with the xbox 360. The TV i am using is Samsung LE37R87 and currently using 720p.

Playing Forza 2 but seems to be like the graphics are too sharp on the top of the cars whilst driving and yes I have tried changing the sharpness settings

Are you using a VGA CABLE or are you using the component cable? Have you updated to the latest firmware release?

I would normally say for 37inches set it at 1080i I know there has been alot of talk about 1080p and vga ghosting but I personally wouldnt bother as alot of the games are not encoded in that.
