yeah, well, guess if it didn't feature voice-calls, it'd still sell "wie heisse semmel" as they say in Germany!!!

I don't know why...but I feel this 'hype' about Apple's iPhone goes inline with the same hype it generates on their iPods.

People are excited with Apple as a manufacturer of one of the most successful music players in the world...maybe thats why the high hopes are being put on iPhone, hoping it would be successful like the iPods Apple sells.

Personally, I see no much hype on the tech specs of the iPhone, maybe because it sucks

No one-touch dialing (two touches at a minimum)
Vibrate mode is included
Voice dialing is not mentioned as a feature, though it's not specifically excluded either
Users can have a voice conversation whilst browsing the web "when WiFi access is available"
iPhone users will not be able to conduct IM conversations with instant messaging users
Emailing videos and pictures are a go, MMS is not supported
MEdia Mail won't be used for ringtone and answertone downloads
MEdia Net, MobiTV, and Cellular Video are (unsurprisingly) not available for the iPhone
iTunes will sync iPhone with the Address Book on Macs or Outlook/Outlook Expess on PCs Of note, it seems that AT&T and / or Apple has conjured up a few canned, customer responses that point out the obvious shortcomings of Apple's handset, so do click on to see what you're up against.

Then maybe it will make their already-established fanbase also tight about spending on their products

Wow it's got a vibrate mode. That's a really uncommon feature.

remember this handset is for the US market. The iPhone will be custom designed for each market in mind, so i fully expect the handset to be 3G, and have MMS capability when it lands in Euroland.

If it doesn't, apple have lost the plot

The iPod is a phenomenon, but not just down to Apple's slick design and profile, it is also the best music player, and thats the key to its success.

If the iPhone wants to grab the headlines, it needs to be the best multimedia phone on the market, and it cant be that until it has the features that your average guy uses day in day out....Picture messages and video messages.

Im sure the Rev.b would have been my choice anyway
