I've got a HD Samsung connected to my 360, which is better quality?
720p or 1080i? Whats the difference?

Well depends if your TV is 1080i compatible? If it aint you wont notice any differance between the two. If it is a 1080i TV 1080i will of course be better.

However for fast action sports, and also video gaming, it is generally considered that 720p is a better choice than 1080i due to the basic difference in the way progressive vs interlaced displays the images. However, some people say the extra resolution of 1080i makes up for that difference
bottom line generally is to try both and if you can really see a difference then go with your preferred choice. If not, then don't worry which one you go with
