Having tried one at a time , to leave an app running in the background, I get the impression that the leak is worse with Messaging open, than with some other apps...

am I imagining it ?

Yup. Messaging however is an app I like to leave running in the background so it opens up faster.

It seems to lose more memory than some 3rd party apps !
