My wife recently bought a K610i and I'm wondering why the charger that was shipped with it doesn't have the same design of the fastport as a standard CST-75, like the one that came with my K800i.
This is the charger that came with her phone:
Notice the cable comes straight out of the back of the contact, no extra socket for headphone.
This is the contact on my charger, with the headset attached:

simple; costs.
a flagship (high end phone) k800 compared to a budget/midrange phone like K610 (imho realy great phone.... enjoy mine a lot).
if you go to a SE store and ask nicely they might switch your charger.

I wouldn't call the K610 a "midrange phone". Apart from the lack of a radio and a 2Mpixel camera instead of a 3.2 Mpixel camera, the Xenon flash, and the lack of the lens cover, the
fucntionality and specifications of K610i is almost identical to K800i. It is somewhat thinner than K800 and a bit lighter, and it's RED. They shipped it with a 64MB M2 card, there was none with my K800, but they did not send any headphones with it, but on the other hand, I replaced the ones that came with my K800i with a pair of HPM-70 after only a week.

Those are pretty big differences already lol. Let's not forget the higher resolution screen and bigger screen size
The K800i's charger with the extra fastport connector is so handy

Erm, I only just noticed when I read this post that I can actually use my headphones while charging my K800i.
I never ever knew my charger had that socket on the back lol.

This is really funny, I never even knew they had a charger that allowed you to plug your headset at the top. Interesting. Ive never come across a K810 but none of the K800s etc ive encountered have had this chrager.
Good thread.

this is weird.
usually, the charger without the ability to insert additional acessories on top does not come with that kind of electrical "plug"
if you were notice the charger or W800 and K750 were different.
it's more likely the same with the charger of T68i.
(the plug only, not the fastport)
don't know why they also change it to be newer and slimmer, yet still discriminate the K610 and K800...
