I was watching a movie and the inactivity lock set in freezing my image. I unlocked the keyboard and proceeded to security options to set off the inactivity lock. The damnest thing when i saw I have NO inactivity lock and still while using Smart Movie the damn thing locks up!
What do I do, I'll be damned to have to unlock it every 3 minutes!
That's pretty lame but after researching more carefully, I had 2 of of 3 movies locked. Not EVERY movie I played, just 2 out of 3...stupid phone.

How do I keep Inactivity Lock to lock up my phone after a minute even if i didn't activate that function?! The box has no tick in it so it shouldn't work. I found it in Tools>Ctrl panel>Security>Locks; none of the two options are ok-ed!

Do you have your flip off? I read the Help and it implies that when you take off your flip the inactivity lock will automatically lock-up your phone even if you don't tick the box.

... have you also got the divx-player installed? or have you had a trial version of either at any point?

@ ares: you, there's not the same thing as the phone "knows" you opened your flip and "remembers" that, while mine always locks up. I guess...explains why mine locks and yours doesn't.
I had the DIVX Player at some point but it expired and I didn't put another version....why?

"why"? Oh...yeah: you might "explore" if every element is properly deleted! Those tenacious itsy bitsy remnants might screw with your smartmovie which in turn screws with your phone (you can email lcg for more advice - they are very helpful! ).... Btw "advanced device lock", a 3rd party app for S60 3rd, can't "handle" smartmovie either! ...

Actually, I remember I did a C: format not a long time ago and didn't install ADL or Divx Player anymore so it's not the case. But thanx for the opinion. I will put the flip on for a few days to see if it still locks up.

completly different issue; how do i switch off the lights of the display when making a call?
it's not allowed to call while driving, special in the dark, it's easy to see if one does because of the display light.
anyone know how to turnoff the display light?
