I'm looking for a headset to listen to music through my w950i. Has to have support for all headphones, like S705. Any suggestions?

Try the SE HBH-DS970 or Motorola S9 or the Soundpilot S705. Maybe the other members of this forum can give you better suggestions than mine. Currently, I own the HBH-DS970 and it's been working great for me so far. Do some research on those headsets I mentioned and maybe wait for some more suggestions from the other members here who know a better headset.

Thanks, i was looking at the DS970, but i'd prefer to put my own headphones on the end, the reason i was attracted to the S705 soundpilot. I'll definitely take a look at the S9 you suggested.

I just got the S9, and I think I'll have to send it back. I love the shape of the thing, and I love the sound, but it is unusable.

When listening to music, with the phone in my pocket, the audio skips and cuts out occasionally. When watching videos encoded using M3, the audio never stops skipping and will cut out for long periods.

Many people now have BT A2DP headsets. Is it likely that a different model would perform better? Could it be that a SE headset might not be so bad? I'm really disappointed, but it will have to go I think.

Any opinions gratefully heard...

If you're looking for an A2DP adapter that has a 3.5 jack so you can use the headphones of your choice I'd suggest you give the HBH-DS200 and HBH-DS220, just announced here in Mexico. Those look promising.

If only the HBH-DS980 or HBH-DS970 had detachable headphones I'll pick those up, but from the pictures it looks like the headphones are fixed. Please let me know if I'm on error about this.

Nope, you're right. If only the HBH-DS980 or HBH-DS970 had detachable headphones. No matter, they still work great for me and I have had no problems with it whatsoever. The only thing I wish is that the battery life for the DS970 was a bit longer.

I recommend the Motorola S705 SoundPilot.

@donroyquilop

Thanks on the confirmation, I will remove them from my short list then. I just can't stand shoving ear buds in my ear canal, no matter how small they are or how good they sound.

Luckily is diversifying on the design of the headphone, like in the HPM-83.

I wonder if they'll ever sell the headphones, featuring the short cord, without the fastport - 3.5 jack so one can swap headphones and not accumulate a load of adapters and rack up expenditure.

Hope is listening.
