i just got my hands on a s500i.
do truely like the phone... but ... slide system feels rubbis.
the top part of the slide can bend!!!
it feels like holding a rubbish sagem

is it just me? or doe most of 'm have this issue?

I think its quite nice, had one for over a week.
Fells smooth, thin and the slider is quite nice i think.

S500i is not a high end phone, so you cannot compare it with the N95 in any sense.

like the w850 has a very solid and smooth slider... why SE didn't stick with that system :?

Interesting, himlims.....I only had W850 to compare to my N95, no contest there(W850 has similar mech to 8800)......
....but I though S500i would have the same mechanism! Interesting if it doesn't.....
EDIT: Look at that for timing!
And yes, why can't you compare the slider mechs, PK??

Compare the E65 slide with that of the N95.. You will see how solid that is compared to N95! It's all very model dependant!
