Cant believe that SE are still stuck at 262K

You can't tell the difference between 262k and 16m with naked eye. Are you going to look at the screen with a microscope?

Actually I've compared a Nokia 6131 (16m colors), screen with a K810 screen. And I could not see any difference AT ALL

QVGA means colours in general, no about any specific phone. You can see the difference between 16 millions and 262K, but Nokia 6131 and SE K810 is a different story ...

you're right - however, the things we can "make up" are quite amazing - and I don't mean unqualified fanboy-defence-talk! The human eye evolved over quite a bit of time to fill in "the gaps" - after a while in the "dark" you slowly "learn" to make out more and more details; after a while in the moonlight your eyes in cahoots with the brain they are (ideally) connected to will trick you into seeing colours that, physically, you cannot distinguish in moonlight; dito, you can "see" much faster than 15 or 30 fps, but your eye-brain conspiracy tricks you effectively into seeing fluid motion where there really is just a series of unconnected images! In that way a well spec'ed 256k screen can appear "as good" as a 16m screen! i'm not defending SE here - I'm a very happy user of the E61
! I'd rather have a screen you can "use" in bright sunlight, than one that has a quadrillion colours but is useless outdoors on a bright day! On paper my k750 screen (size aside) looked so much better than my 6680's, but a bit of sunshine, and I was wishing I had my 6680 (which, btw, I hated otherwise)! my e61 has 16m And it "works" in the brightest sun light... But the 16 m are not responsible for that!
On a personal note - I'd prefer a 256k screen that was a bit bigger than those SE offer currently!

What picture do you have for both phones when you did the comparison? A solid color? Go have them display gradients; if you still don't see the difference, there could be something wrong with your eyes.
