I have to decide which to get iphone or P1i

Does anyone have any reliable info as to whether the P1i will work with isync when it comes out.

I'm on the fence as to which one i want. I'm not sure i'll like the text entry on the iphone.
But knowing if P1i will work with isync or not will be a big help in my decision.

Thanks for any recommendations

The P1 is a Symbian/UIQ based phone, and like the P990, M600, W950 etc. isn't supported by iSync.

Neither Apple nor Sony Ericsson have shown any interest in moving iSync forward in this area, so it would appear they are not going to.

Even iSync 3.0 in Leopard has no support for these phones currently, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

why people always compare phones who havn't hit the market yet... it's just not possible.

considering your data transfer; forget about a good working pim.
best i've came acros is a bluetooth connection which seems quite platform indipendant.
if you like to run your sync tool using a mac.
i highly recommend using wine, it's a great tool to run windows applications on a mac/linux system
