Seems like this got overlooked while everyone was updating their P990s. Will test and report back in a few.

Startup Memory: 21.7 mb

When powering the phone on, the splash animation has been a bit improved. Almost looks like the one from the W880 (higher res texture when the W explodes).

Phone: CXC162037 R9G007
Bluetooth: CXC162058 R3A01
Organizer: CXC162088 R6D22
CDA: 162014/1 R6D19 (World Gen 1)

Payment transactions menu (as in P990) exist as well.

Speed Dial previews are not distorted... FINALLY!!

more to come (hopefully).....

Very very very happy with this firmware release!
First time with my generic bluetooth Stereo headset working with this phone since buy in november 2006.
Not working equalizer or blueooth volume from this phone but...... very very happy with my headphones, Great volume and very great sound quality.
This low complexity sound band codec (SBC CODEC) works excellente.
The phone in gral. working very fast than previous firmware.

Sorry for my bad english, spanish is my native language.

Realmente, estoy muy contento, yo compre este telefono y estos auriculares en noviembre del 2.006 y ya creia que nunca funcionarian juntos.

Congratulations, SE, GREAT JOB!!!!

updated last night. memory at start up a bit less than previous fw. The phone seems to start up faster than before.
The volume to me does not seem to be improved much. As always a bit too low. HBH-DS970 headsets keep working without problems as before.
A part from these things I have not noticed anything else..but I just started using it with the new fw. Besides also the last fw was pretty good.

@alinefx

U said that upon startup with the new firmware is 21.7mb ram while my R9f011 firmware upon startup is 22.1mb ram. So that means startin up is faster but abit less ram now with the new firmware?

Anyone got any other new stuff that are fixed in this current update? The soft alarm tone is it fixed?

I have also noticed that when the keypad is locked there s no way of starting the music (the play button does not work anymore, even if is pressed for 3 secs).
