well as title really, looking to spend $300aud max, she uses a crap old nokia now, and she always says she will go on a contract, but it hasnt happened and dont think it will for a while, so ill buy her a phone....
she doesnt need all the bells and whistles, ie, feature packed phone. just a decent camera, nice keypad to text with and reliable, decent design, slide or candybar form, and a girl colour i think, well either, purple, pink, red, or black... and to large in size, some nice and compact.... ohh and decent battery life..... she seems to like samsung because she likes her friends d600's.... but she really hasnt used any other phones besides old nokias...
ive got these in mind at the moment
Samsung:
D520
E250 - purple or red for this one
D600
E900
Sony Ericsson:
k610i- Red
k550i
Nokia:
6131 - its a flip, so im iffy on this one
LG:
Chocolate - pink (im leaning towards this, she likes it too)
please no motorolas.... she said she saw the e250 and she liked it, but im thinking no as its only a vga cam....
i think im going to choose one of these, pink chocolate, e250 (???), k610, k550 or d520....
im giving this more thought then when i choose a new phone
and im not sure why im asking people here, as ive done all the thinking my self almost
any way, opinions???

the chocolate has touch buttons, she likes that, and it has a better cam and mem card slot where as chocie doesnt, though she does like the pink chocolate. is there a pink e900?

im leaning towards chocolate at the moment too....
chocolate, e900, red k610/k550 or d520 or purple e250... its a shorter list now

The K610 hasn't got the best keypad - it's a little on the small side. It's still pretty good, but it's probably not as good as the larger one on the E900 or the other sliders.
Same for the K550 - if she has long fingernails, I'm not sure how practical the buttons would be.
