I've got a W810i I bought from the carphone warehouse and although I have an 02 sim in it its not locked or branded to 02. I'm having a problem with flash menus even though its not a branded or locked phone. I've currently got R4EA031 prgCXC1250316_GENERIC_HN firmware on my phone
And the customization on the software info says CDA102494/4 R4Acxc1250324 R4ED001 EUROPE_2
And finally Java SW version is 6.5

The problem I'm having is that my phone won't display the flash themes, it just displays them like they are a normal theme and I'm not sure why this is.

I'm using a Mac as well not a windows PC so I can't run the SE updater but carphone warehouse have told me they'll do it for me. Is there any way I can get these themes working?

i've noticed from friends that although CPW have generic software they use one where in the customize.xml the flash themes must be disabled, u need to use dacinciteam.com, or wotanserver.com to debrand or XS++ to manually change the string in customize.xml

if you take to CPW i think theyll just flash with the same FW

u dont have flash menus due to the operator customizing, use XS++ and FAR manager (there are a couple of guides around, google "FAR w810"), all u have to do is extract the customiztion.xml file via FAR, and edit the string somthing like /false to something like /true, and load it back in, flash up with XS++ and you are done!, make sure u go thru the far manager guides in detail because far can be dangerous if u dont know wat u are doing

Thanks for the replies!

Is there any way to make any alterations to make it work without voiding the warranty? Presumably using davinci and XS++ will void the warranty?
