cant a 2.0MP lens and 3.2MP lens have the same focal length? anyways, whats for sure is that there is no interpolation in P1.

just look at the sample shots from the prototype P1 on gsmarena, you won't say there is an interpolation going on the phone as even GSMArena doesn't noticed any of it is there? remember that

k550 has a focal length of 3.8mm yet it produces pictures as very comparable to it's brother K750 as proven by kelace from his sample pictures in the camera pictures section.
SE won't do any particular interpolation for sure

they have an imaging intelligence, i highly doubt that seriously

You're trying to say that just because it has the same focal length and aperture it's going to be the same resolution? Nonsense.
The focal length and aperture have nothing to do with sensor resolution.
Do a bit of research on how cameras work.
