Hi all,

Well very early this morning i couldn't sleep so whilst waiting for my OxyNorm to kick in was bored and had gone to Google Images to see what they had in the way of Album art well they seem to have everything in various sizes.

Now when i had my SE M600 getting the Album Art to work was an utter pain and most probably another reason i didn't like it. But i had noticed on the N95 once in Albums view that under options it actually has Album art and clicking it takes you to your gallery which got me thinking.

So back i went to Google images and looked up the Album Art for the albums i have so far on the N95 just clicked and saved them to my pictures on my laptop and then connected my N95 and copied them to my images folder. All i then had to do was go to each Album and select Album Art and then attach the correct cover which to put it mildly is very easy. I choose the largest resolution i could find which was 500 x 500 but some were much smaller and all seem to work as well as each other so if space is an issue just chose the medium to smallest as the difference is from 2kb to 6kb with little or no visual difference IMO.

I still think it is pretty pointless but for those that do want it that is the easiest way i have found or heard of, if my OxyNorm had kicked in quicker i may never of bothered i just hope some that are looking to do this find it of help.

Marc

QVGA,

I would think so, but i suppose seeing as it is so easy it may just be worth a try with one Album to see what happens it can't cause any problems the worst that can happen is it doesn't work.

@batesie & spikeyjac,

I did say for those that like it and i have posted the instructions how to hopefully help those that want to. I have done it now on my N95 although my motive at the time was pain distraction and killing time, it's just i only see it for a really short time when i start the Album i but as always every ones take on it will be slightly different i am not knocking it as otherwise i wouldn't of bothered with this simple and easy method for the N95. I would like to know if this method works with other N series devices that support Album art or not as it definitely is the easiest method i have seen so far IMO.

The way i have always done it seems to work with every phone i have had that Supports album art, including a W880i, W850i, W950i, M600i,P990i, N73 ME and my current N95.

And thats just simply by finding your album art on the web (eg amazon), open itunes, highlight whatever song or album (if all selected). Then just drag the album art from your source (amazon) into the space at the bottom left in itunes.....

Works every time for me

Hi Scott,

The whole point of this was it is far simpler IMO then embedding it in the Music files especially as i don't use iTunes or anything similar. All i use is the Nokia Music Manger to convert my Cd's to 160kbs AAC and then copy to my sounds folder on the memory card. But hey whatever works for anyone is fine by me just i couldn't believe how incredibly easy and fuss free this method is IMO.

Also i forget to mention it works with every track in the Album so when you create a play list it still displays the Album art.
