how can i restore my backup files that i made from my p910 to my new p990 ??
as i found the format is different

Which backup files in particular? For things contacts, emails, notes and calendar appointments you have to perform a synch with the PC and your PIM of choice before doing a synch with the P990. Otherwise, trying to restore the backup files created from your P910 will not work. One of the reasons is that the OS is different and the backup files contain settings for a different OS (P910 vs P990 - Symbian OS7 vs OS9)
