Well i just changed my front casing and now my right softkey won't work. I tried my keypad in my mums w800 and it worked fine.

I got it working for about an hour earlier and but i dunno how.

I checked that the connection on the keypad and it's fine.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Is it a genuine fascia? The non-gen ones tend to be a poor fit meaning some buttons don't work.
Try loosening the screws slightly, i've found that helps with stiff/non functioning buttons, u may need 2 experiment with how much u loosen them.

I have similar problem when I tried to open the housing for the first time. Actually I wasn't changing the housing, I just needed to clean the joystick... But after I put the expensive things together again I got no light on my keyboard and some keys not working. As you mentioned the keyboard was working fine in another W800, you just need to check the connection where the keyboard is connected to the mainboard. The housing you tried to apply maybe is not genuine and that's causing the problem, but after all a genuine housing can cause it too if it is placed wrong. So if the connector with the board is the problem (and it seems like to be...) try pushing the connection between the mainboard and the keyboard a little, but be VERY careful not to damage it. Give it a little closer contact and try if it works.

See the picture below:

And ignore the numbers on the picture... it is from a dismantling K750 manual .

or the right softkey button fits on too tightly onto the keypad contacts...
