Just as a fun imagination topic..
Imagine if you can add RAM chips to mobile phones, just like PC, to increase the onboard RAM of any device, symbian or non-symbian.
What do you think? Would actually help my crippled P990i doing better he he

As far as I remember P1i has the same processor as P990i - then do you think 128MB RAM will not make any difference?
By the way, I just mentioned this issue to one of my colleagues yesterday. His reply was - There are not such RAM chips available yet! Of course, this should not be the reason for memory expansion problem in mobile phones.

Well, in the near future we can imagine mobile phone upgrading in the local service. You buy a phone depending on the design, battery and the platform it uses.It has some "basic" memory,CPU,GPU and so on,which are enough for the common operation, and are placed in slots and also there are some free slots. Then you go in the service and say:Hi,Roger. Please throw in an 800Mhz dualcore Intel CPU,and also some 512MB RAM,Corsair is a good idea.Oh, don't forget the Nvidia 128MB 8800 Portable and the Lynx3 Portable Edition.See ya later, bye bye!
Maybe some 3 or 4 years and we'll see that happen?
