hi can anyone plz tell me that, Have W850 and W830 same firmware? and what is the last firmware of W850 and the last one for W830 if both haven't the same firmware.

No, they're NOT the same at all. The latest is R1KG001, of the same name but different structure. Remember, W850 is 3G while W830 isn't.

Thanks @aremaboy, actually I know that the difference but I’m little bit worry about one think. From my past experience always popular device has priority to got new firmware and less popular device hasn’t got firmware update regularly. I’m going to buy W8*0. In Bangladesh 3G is not available. So EDGE is useful. But I’m thinking that may be W830 doesn’t get the same improvement firmware like W850. So I’m little bit confused. Can you confirm about that?

R1KG001 is a very stable firmware for both phones. Go buy the W8*0 you dream of, brother.

The phone firmwares have much differences in the filesystem although the interface looks the same. The firmwares cannot be the same when the phone hardware is different.

i dont know, but there's a thread about this issue. i think it was bobafett, he said that has flashed a k790 with a k800 firmware and the phone didnt work. so dont try it with the w850/830

ok guys thanks for your reaply. I didn't find the W830i on the market in Bangladesh. So I had to take W850i. which is made by china and takes $310 without warrenty. I was wondaring that W830i prize is little but high around $55 with warrenty but my bad luck that I didn't find that. I also took HBH-DS970 which is $108. Is these prize similar to your country?
