Hay guys,

Every one is shocked beacuse of crappy k850 photo's! They have been taken with prototypes, all functions such as AF and macro have been taken out so ofcourse there gonna be crap! If its a prototype I doubt SE are gonna put there best efforts in a prototype! We will wait till the proper thing is released. All the crappy pix are proberly taken by nokia fanboys using a crap cam and saying it is the k850, or its what I said before. All the settings have been taken out!

So people look at the pictures when the real thing is released! Man, its like judging a book by its cover! Obviously a prototype is gonna have flaws!

Instead of accusing conspiracy, maybe you should have a reality check and accept the fact that K850 photo will not be so great that it can even beat a standalone digicam.

K850 has the same physical constraints as the n95 and LGk920, so picture quality cannot vary too much from these other devices (just like K800 photo against N73 or D900).

And like the saying goes, the K850 final production photo will not vary very much from the prototype.

And factual. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will a camera phone be able to match a stand alone digital camera. NEVER. I will gladly match my Nikon D80 against any camera phone on the market. I will even go so far as to shoot in JPEG rather than RAW just for the sake of the comparison.

Esato has turned in to a forum of camera phone whiners with the users having little knowledge about how photo technology works. It is a matter of physics, not marketing. The larger the sensor, the more pixel density and higher the resolution. Camera phones are limited in size but you would never be able to convince a certain group of camera phone complainers about this. Also more pixels does not necessarily equal a better picture. There are many, many factors involved.

Just for Your information, only xumdeo had problem with no auto focus unit, all the rest has AF. And btw, SE don't have time to fix hardware, they had just started a official unit production, so don't expect the miracles, it is gonna be almost same as prototype.

never say never altough I agree that in the near future that will never happen, altough, your D80 is an SLR camera which is even more powerfull then the compact cameras that I think are a more realistic aim for camera phones.

Well it happened the same with the prototypes of the P990 which had problem with focusing. The macro shots were EXCELLENT, but the daylight ones (and landscapes) were out of focus. So the same may happen with the K850 too, but after all fixed the problem with the P990 and they will so fix in the K850 (IF there is ANY problem with the REAL K850 camera).

I never once said they would comapare in this thread. I dont even no why your talking about cam phones bening compared to dedicated cams. All I said was, the pix arnt gonna be great cause they have no settings and its a proto! Please dont twist my words. I never once compared the k850 to a dedicated. I think I even said that a dedicated 2mp would wipe the floor with the k800 in another thread, so you have it the over way round!

When the hell did I compare!? I read the fist post again and I was right, I never compared! All im saying is that the proto's pix are gonna be crap. I dont know ehy you guys are twisting my words into somthing I never said!

Mib obviously you have to read again what I said in the first post. I never once mentioned a dedicated cam!!

Totally agree with mib. The quality we see with K850 is the quality we'll get when it will be released. The hardware is made, its finalized, mass production has probably started.
Whoever thinks a firmware upgrade will have a noticeable effect on picture quality is only kidding them selves. I am not saying K850 will disappoint, but those who are, dont except your disappointment to end when the phone arrives.
