Apparently now its gonna rain for a whole month according to the BBC, with gales and rain forcast for the next 24 hrs.

How rubbish is that? Whats the point of spending money on new shorts an stuff when there is no end in sight to the rain.

The report actually says that in the next 24 hours there could be a month's worth of rain, not a month of rain.
Flood and severe weather warnings are in force for many parts of England and Wales with torrential rain and gales forecast for the next 24 hours.
A storm band is sweeping across from the South West, with the worst rain set to hit Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Forecasters say there could be up to a month's rainfall and more flooding than in recent days.

Oh, praise the lord!

It might all be gone by the weekend when I go visiting friends but the 5 day forecast isn't looking too inviting.

At least the hosepipe ban isn't going to happen again anytime soon! Really did my head in last year because I couldn't wash cars well with just a bucket!, really need a pressure washer to do it. And afterall, it is sort of like my business.
