> w810 reception issues only recently

My w810 has been having very sporadic reception issues the last 4 days. I can only call out about 1 in 4 tries as well as receive voicemail without any missed calls. Often, as well, I'll have to attempt my text message sendings mutliple times.
I am on Cingular and it's fire season here in the desert of Nevada, so maybe they are having tower issues.
My concern is that it is a residual issue from when I submerged my phone 2 weeks ago. After drying it completely and replacing the battery, my phone worked flawlessly for about a week until this reception issue popped up.
Should I maybe think about replacing the antenna? I have a w800, should I try swapping the antennas? Are they even interchangeable? Or is it likely a carrier issue?
