Hi,
I am thinking of getting an N95 and went in to Phones4u today and got offered this deal!
750 any network anytime mins
Unlimited text (fair use policy so approx 3000 pm)
Unlimited internet (fair use policy so approx 120 mb)
Stop the clock
Free sim-free phone
£45 pm
£80 cashback instore
18 month contract so with cash back will work out for £36.11 pm for first 9 months and £45 for the other 9, but can downsize contract after 9 months.
I have until Friday to decide!
What does everyone think, good deal, great deal, ok deal???

In my honest opinion I wouldn't touch Vodafone nor would I ever go with an 18 month contract again and that is through experience, and I also wouldn't be badgered into making a decision by Friday, you have the internet shop around and see what else you can come up with!

I would also be wary of p4u. They are renouned for pressuring you and then adding bits that you didnt ask for.

Yeah to be honest I don't really want an 18month plan but seems to be the done thing these days to get a good deal.
It does seem like too good a deal to be true.
What are your bad experiences of Vodafone?

@mike03

That is not a great deal in MO if you intend to use the device for Data 120mb is not nearly enough and once you go over the allowance it will cost you £2 per MB and does not include using IM either. Check out T-Mobile deals that include Web N Walk data plans with proper Data allowances and there branding is only i theme and they change the Internet Globe icon to a Web N Walk icon and so far T- Mobile have already released the firmware upgrade to V11 so no need to have to change product codes to upgrade firmware. Alternatively Orange also have good Data deals but they do seriously brand their handsets and are also not known for being the quickest to approve new firmware, hope that helps you decide.

Marc

Excessive bills once I have used my quota! also when I renewed my contract in November they failed to mention I had to wait 9 months to downgrade! I really do deeply regret renewing!

Dogmann is correct in saying you will get a far better deal via T-mobile Data wise!

I'm not going to use it for IM more checking football results, news etc and maybe email. What I really want is a 12 month contract with an N95 willing to pay up to £60 for the handset, 400-500 sms, approx 300ish anytime minutes and a reasonable amount of data to allow random usage, perhaps 5-10 mb per month all for approx £30 pm maybe stretching to £35.
From my researching this is unrealistic!
I have been with o2 for 4-5 years and have been due for upgrade since feb!

just a little pointer.. 5-10mb on a 3g handset is nada..

you will get hardly any data for that...

I only use a 2g blackberry and i cain through 30mb a month easily...
