> T68 - Will I lose everything?
Bookmark topic
Hi all!
As a result of a quick swim in the kitchen sink (Doh!), my T68 is not a happy chappy and needs replacing. Orange, my provider, are sorting me out with a new handset (Sim is fine) tomorrow.
My concern is all my names and tel no.s. I have no data cable (& wouldn't know what to do with it, if I had.) Is there a way I can easily retain these details?
-I know the SIM hols 90 no.'s - However, these seem to be formatted incorrectly (i.e. all no.'s for the same name are listed as separate items). I am sure when I put the SIM in the new handset it will come out incorrectly, quite apart from losing all my other no.'s which don't fit on the SIM.
Does anyone have any clever solutions?... short of pencil and pen, that is!
Thanks in advance.

...can anyone help?
(BTW - I won't be luck enough to receive a T68i (was a T68m) when they come to replace, will I? - I'm with Orange)

I'm really sorry, but all the solutions available lead us to connecting the phone to a computer, if the phone still works.
BUT you can always connect it to another phone of the same type and send the phonebook over. That might be the most important stuff. I can't remember where the menu was in the old T68m, but it is in the Phone Book menu, an item called Send All.
And if the Orange guys are bad enough to give you a T68m you simply go to the next service center and have it updated. Just make shure you do that before you start copying data from your bathed phone, because the update will erase all data from the phone.

Thank you....
...however, have woken this morning to find that the partly non-functional screen seems to have given up completely (although the phone seems to still be able to make/receive calls).
I guess I'm out of options?
