The term "smartphone" may simply be defined as a full-featured mobile phone with personal computer like functions. Or better yet, a mobile phone that's almost a computer. There are quite a few of these phones available on the market.You have the usual suspects such as the P Series, M Series, Palm Treos, Motorola Qs, Nokia communicator's and the ever so popular Blackberrys.

So the question here being is, what exactly does make your phone so smart?

IMHO.. being able to be logged on to three IM services simulataneously while I check my mail, post on esato, scrap friends on a social networking site, listen to music and view that excel file that boss e-mailed me...All at the same time... Now thats what you call smart..


I am not joking.. this is what a smartphone is to me... and I have become so dependent on it that now I cannot go back to a "mere" phone.

That so true masseur... unless you explore the full capabilities of your "smart" phone.. it will remain dumb. Its the end user that makes a smartphone really live up to its name..
