I got mine W810i unbranded and flashed with some nice aftermarket acoustic pack. It's very loud and looks great. The reception is awesome too. My only concern is that the voice quality on calls is just not as clear as Nokia. At times I have ask the person to repeat what they're saying and this is with many callers... I remember with Nokia the voice quality is crystal clear.

I'm using cingular in Bay Area. Has anyone had the same experience? I'm debating whether to go back to a Nokia, but don't really want to do it.

Thanks

May be you got a faulty set.seems fault is in the speaker of your phone etc.because other wise,w810 do not have such issue.i mean i never need to ask the other person to repeat what he is saying.i listen it loud and clear

I understand what you saying.

It's not like like I have to ask always...It's more of the actual voice clarity. Even when I can understand the other person 100%. The quality is just not as on par as the Nokias I've had. Maybe I'm going crazy But I do feel a slight difference. With Nokias, I feel that the person is right next to time.

I also tried a Motorola once but felt the voice quality difference and had to return it.

Does anyone felt such difference when coming from a Nokia?

May be its because the w810i speaker is a bit deep behind the passen glass and the out let are two tiny holes.although its a stupid explanation which i am giving right now.Or may be nokia has a bit power ful speaker and se has a bit weaker speakers???

From my experience, my N71 is 'louder' compared to W810 but i wouldn't call W810's quality inferior

Indeed, i recall my first experience with W810 and having used 6630 before, i was astonished. It's not bad at all.
