> Is there a point to ipods?

Opinions please.....
Seeing as we have the likes of the W960i and the Apple iphone even coming do you think the "trend" will be to see more people going for multi functional devices like these rather than a separate mp3 player?
I'm actually trying to sum up is there a point in buying a ipod video.... I have a smaller nano but to be honest I do the same with my Sony Ericsson K810i and HPM-75's (I wack a few albums and mp3's onto the M2 stick).

Same as, I dont use my nano anymore and the HPM-75's sound better than what the ipod headphones do.

There is no way w810 provides better sound than an ipod. It's not even better than a cheap USB-flash-Mp3 player, thanks to distortion and hiss.
But HPM-70 provides really good sound quality.

trust me, through the headphones it does.......
especially with modded acoustics
