Can anyone please explain what the model numbers in the W series mean? Is it that 800's/900's = hi-end, 600's-700's = mid range etc? Many thanks.

Yeah, well it also depends on the product line-up at the time of release. It's like if you take W800i and W580i, the former is 2 yrs old, the latter a few months old and obviously has richer features. So the model numbers don't mean anything.

But at the time of release, W800 was high mid-range. In the current offering, W580i is definitely mid-range, compared to the 6 or 7 models above it.

A W800i has better features than a W580i............jeez I hate slim/fashion phones! I have a K800, my cousin a W810, my brother a K750, all better than my friends w880 or moto v3. There. The only thing the W800i lacks is shake control and a QVGA screen.
