Hi guys,
I had a look and couldn't really see if people had a similar problem to what I'm facing. Whats happening is the primary screen on my z550i shows the SE startup logo (like it should) but then the screen goes black for a second (still nothing out of the ordinary as this was part of the startup process) but after this is when I have my problem....
Instead of the display being outputted to the primary screen it is displayed on the secondary screen as though I had the phone closed, but in actual fact I do not. I have tried many things, turning off and back on, leaving off for a couple of days, turning on while connecting to PC.... Nothing I can think of has worked.
So I took it to the shop and they said it needed to be sent to the repair shop. I thought yay its going to get fixed, only to hear back from the repair shop saying that the board has water damage and they will not fix it, that will be $25 thank you.... Bastards, so when I got the phone back I decided to open it up myself and see this 'apparrent' water damage (which I could not find mind you).
Anywho, when I was leaving my phone at the repair shop they lady at the front desk was describing the systems before I had even told her, and was saying that its a common problem and just requires a software reset. But because the guys in the repair shop wont touch it (becuase of the 'apparrent water damage) I have been trying to find out how to perform this myself and have not been able to yet.
Was wondering if anyone here knew how to get this done, or could help me out. And just incase your thinking, I did not get my phone wet!
Thanks guys

I did happen to find this, which states that they repair WSOD (White screen of Death).

Would this provide a solution to my problem?
Cheers guys, much appreciated

hi and welcome here
why dont you try to update your firmware using SEUS?
in case it wont work, take it to a service center

Thanks for the reply Tranced, but after reading comments from that link you provided me with everyone keeps commenting on 'samgsung' phone z500 etc, whereas my phone is a Sony Ericsson...
Any other ideas mate?
Cheers
