Is anyobody out there using k800 with opera mini?
I've downloaded the browser and when started the phone crashed (never happened before!)
Then I've deleted the applicartion and downloaded again the browser.
Now it doesn't crash but I get an error:
"Memory Stick full. Delete one or more files of your choice"
Now, considering I've got 65MB phone memory free + 655MB on memory stick available, there must be something else wrong.....

Re-format the Memory Stick. All data will be gone, so back up first.

I would say that the error message is incorrectly quoted or the message itself is incorrect, since the application cpmplains about lack of memory reserved for the java application. It has nothing to do with free space on the memory stick or phone memory, unfortunately. I had the same problem with my phone. Apart from Opera Mini, there were several other Java apps that either did not start, or did not function properly. Most of the times, it was impossible to save game data, like hiscore, game progress, etc. I sent the phone in for a warranty issue, and the service centre reflashed the firmware, and after that, the problem was gone.

well, i also get this insufficient memory error in apps which are a few hundred kB's, although the free space is of the order of tens of MB's...

Bad news.... I've formatted the stick and still the same..... maybe I could reset the phone to it's initial firmware and reapply the latest, without serviceing the phone......
I do I acheive that???

I have got exactly this problem (with 68 Mb free) since my phone was sent back for repair. Now I can't launch several useful Java apps - GoogleEarth and Opera specifically.
I've got firmware R1KG001 - is that the latest? If there's an issue specifically with this firmware can someone tell me how to put an older version on it?
I'm on the 3 network of that helps.

Never had any problem with Opera on my phone, and I've updated FW's. But I found the SE browser to be just as good as Opera, and do not use Opera anymore. Is there anything it can do special, the SE can't?

that message is nonsense! are you sure you quoted correctly???
om doesn't care about your "memory stick"! But btw: where is om installed on your k...?
also what version? Did you send a bugreport to opera?
Have you tried "dimensions" (operamini.com/beta)?

Yup, as it's Java, you can minimize it and then you can bring it back up on the page it's left on with the previous history and all - the SE standard one just quits doesn't know what page it was on.
It handles bookmarks well and lots of other stuff like pressing right and left scrolls one screen at a time as well as up/down scrolling one line at a time.
This bug is really annoying. It's got nothing to do with the memory stick - the same thing happens if the stick is in the phone or not.

True, thats a good enough reason for me. I never thought of that.
