Finally 4GB M2

"The 4GB M2 card has a suggested retail price of $99.99. The new card is expected to be available worldwide this summer at many of the more than 210,000 consumer electronics stores and retail outlets where SanDisk products are sold. "

I preordered mine from http://www.play.com - it was scheduled for release on 01/07/07. I've just checked my order and it's been put back to 26/07/07

Also note that the M2 has a MUCH faster data transfer rate ... sustained.

20MB/s according to the wiki.

Well I'd say any in general because SanDisk makes the cards even for SE.

[b]Memory Stick Micro[b]

In a joint venture with SanDisk, Sony released a new Memory Stick format on February 6, 2006. The Memory Stick Micro (M2) measures [b]15 × 12.5 × 1.2 mm[b]—roughly one-quarter the size of the Duo, around the size of a fingernail—with 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB 2 GB and 4 GB capacities, with a theoretical limit of 32 GB. Maximum transfer speed is 160 Mbit/s. It comes with an adapter, much like the Duo Sticks, to ensure compatibility with current PRO devices.

Duo/PRO Duo:
* Transfer: 159 Mbit/s (20 MB/s)
* Minimum write speed: 15 Mbit/s
* Maximum write speed: 80 Mbit/s (High Speed PRO Duo)

Micro (M2):
* Transfer: 160 Mbit/s (20 MB/s)[quote]
Funny though that there is NO mention of Max transfer rate so I stand corrected.

Yes, i believe SanDisk is a good manufacturer of memory cards...
i got my 2GB M2 on march when the price is quite high.

though now the price have been dropped to almost half of price i bought,
the quality of the memory card is excellent... i don't regret buying it...

SanDisk rocks!
