@CaNsA
It does indeed have WiFi but you will need to be sure that your Network is able to work with the older b version of WiFi as this is the only version it supports.

what do you mean his network? dont you mean the wireless routers that he will be connecting to?
most new wireless routers support the old 802.11b AND the latest 802.11g, but its worth checking this first.

Why didnt SE put support for both WiFi 802.11b/g on W960 and P1 like Nokia does?

I have an Edimax Wi-Fi b/g router and P990i works perfectly with this one.

Virtually any router will happily support b - it's a complete non-issue. I use a cheap b card in my laptop for internet use at home, it makes absolutely no difference to internet speeds (which are all well below b anyway).

@batesie ,
If he is running a wireless Router that means he has a Network i really don't get the point you are trying to make here. Also most new Routers run the g and n protocols and may still support b but as you say he should check. We should also mention that if you make you router run b and is connected to b device it will reduce the speed for anything else running on the Network.
@Boinng
What are you talking about? as if what you say is true why would companies produce the faster protocols and why would anyone bother upgrading as it would be pointless. Please quantify your statement as to me it's just a ridiculous thing to say and makes no sense.

@Dogmann - I have a wireless router but I don't have a network as such, just two PC's which independently connect to the internet via the router. They don't even see each other. One has a G card, one has B, both connect perfectly well to the same router. So will the P1, when I get that...

I have a router that runs b and G. If I connect my P990i at b then my computer still runs at full speed G. You dont need to make the router run at B to connect a B device, just make sure that it is set to accept B as well as G.
