The P990 is not a turkey. I'm quite happy with mine as are a lot of other people. As long as you make sure it's upgraded to R5 firmware or above, it's actually pretty stable and free of any serious bugs.

So, bearing in mind your requirements I think the P990 could be an ideal choice for you. Especially since the prices have come down so much lately. The only problem is that the speaker is not great. It's adequate, but I wouldn't call it good!

I have been using this phone for around 2 months. When I initially bought it, it was already installed with R5. I literally had NO problems with it. Video? FANTASTIC and HUGE screen! Volume/ Ring Tones? Superb quality! You can tell the differences when you select a different EQ. Functions? Needless to say, WIFI, WLAN, Document editor, 3G etc... OH MY GOD! Why are people complaining when the other SE phones available on the market can't match up to this phone?

Anyways, I am a VERY Happy P990i user (also SE fan), and I would say go for it. Prices are down for P990i right now, so it is a good time to buy.

Cheers,

Oh, so that you know. Both of my friends N80 went dead after 1 yr! One of the N80 screen even turned upside down, and the phone wasn't even dropped before! How sad for NOKIA users...

I hope you are not using N80 now, are you? Haha...

No.No longer using my n80 as i've got n70(work phone) and n95 now.Never encountered a single problem with the n80.All bugs were ironed out in no time, it had a much better cam/video than your turkey phone, it wasn't a brick like your turkey phone, it wasn't using 4yr old technology like your turkey phone, it could multitask unlike your turkey phone, had a superb screen, loud audio unlike your turkey phone, and retained its price pretty well unlike your turkey phone.Oh, and it did everything it said on the tin, yet again, unlike your turkey phone.
