I get the following error message when I run Phone Book & Text Message manager on Windows XP Pro (SP1):
If this happens again please contact support at:
http://wap.sonyericsson.com/
Click OK to exit the program
---------------------------------------------------------
Runtime error: 429
Description: ActiveX component can't create object.
Source: ecsmca.ModMain.Main - clsXMLLocalizer.SetLanguage
Does anyone know why this happens and a solution to rectify the issue?
Thanks,
Sabesh.

Usually this kind of error is caused because the application is trying to call another an object (most of the times an object is specific code section contained in a dll file) and can not access it. Microsoft Word for example is one kind of an object that can be called as an object form another application to create a document in the background without being launched.
But I can not tell you why you got this error. Maybe you are trying to perform an action that is not valid for your phone. It looks like it might be trying to Set a language on the phone that the phone does not support? But you may try removing the application and re-installing it, or try on another computer with a different OS.

@starship001, Avinash
my experience with this software had been inconsistent. i managed to install and make it work on several desktops and a notebook, but also had problems installing it in another notebook, and one other desktop. i was not able to resolve those issues.
my suggestion to both of you is to ditch PBTM altogether and use the latest version of FMA instead. You can now edit and add entries, aside from managing your SMS messages.
There's an active
ESATO FMA thread, it's own
webpage, and thee FMA
OpenSource project page SourceForge (where you can download the latest version).
I hope that helps
