...and have a choice of a few free phones to go with it. I prefer SE phones to other makes so that rules out all the nokias etc. Which should I choose out of the following?

K550i
K800i
K810i
M600i
W610i silver
W850i
W880i
W950i

Basically I'm looking for a feature-rich phone that is a pleasure to use, and looks good.

if you care a lot about the camera go for the k810 or the k800. if you want to have the walkman player go for the w610

the size of the supplied memory stick should not be any factor in choosing a phone

in any case, you can get a 2gb M2 or 4gb pro duo for around £15-ish

K810i has the most features and is probably worth the most out of all the ones mentions there.

Cam with good functions - ie BestPic, xenon flash.

Video is no worse than any of the others.

Music player with TrackID / A2DP etc

Picture blogging.
