I have an AT&T unlocked Sony Ericsson T68i which is giving me the following error while trying to connect to the homepage:
"Communication error: try again or check your settings."
However, I'm able to use the phone as a modem usig my laptop / Infrared connection via Rogers GPRS software named "Portage Plus"
Someone I know has the same phone and he connects with no problems. Unfortunately, I cannot compare settings with him.
Here are my settings:

Should I also fiddle around with the "Common" settings under WEB services / Options (#8) ?
Thanks for looking at this post and for any suggestions provided.
Best regards,
Sabesh.

I got this working now. "rexdalegangksta" over at Howard Forums posted this and it works for me:
gotta use the goam.com apn for wap
that is, with your current settings,
WAP services >> Options >> WAP profiles >> Rogers >> Edit >> Connect Using >> Rogers WAP -- NOT Rogers GPRS (as per your current set up); or try Ask always (that's what I'm using)
Cheers,
Sabesh
