First of all let me say that I already found tons of useful information in this forum. But couldn't find an answer to this problem: the PBTM connects with my T68i and it says the synchronization is just fine, however it shows an empty phone book (my phone has lots of contacts). When I tried to add a contact, nothing happened. Any ideas?

(Note, my infrared connection is fine, I can download stuff to the phone and PBTM correctly recognizes the phone and does not complain about the connection...)

Thanks,
Zajo

Have you ever got it to work yet? I'm having the same problem here. I don't have any luck on getting help in this forum. Any idea?

if the list on PBTM is still empty after a "successful" sync, check the file (open in notepad) named \Program Files\Ericsson\Communications Suite\Phonebook & Text Message Manager\Data\ecsmca.xml

you will see an entry that looks like:

- <PHONE name="Arnold's T68" modelid="1130201-BVT68" id="350324713418309" smsno="+639180000101">
<STORE id="350324713418309" />
<STORE id="350324713418309001" />
<STORE id="350324713418309003" />
<STORE id="350324713418309002" />
<STORE id="515030401376541" />
</PHONE>
</PHONES>

Your phone should be listed there. Is it?

For every contact, you will see an entry like:

- <ADDRESSENTRY status="2" X-ECSMCA-LUID="143ED201A2BC4318A2B6E22E9153A88D" X-IRMC-LUID="">
<VCARD>BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:2.1 N:M;Rene TEL;HOME:+61397640450 END:VCARD</VCARD>
<NOTES />
</ADDRESSENTRY>

Do you see any?

I have been unable to get Phone Book and Text Mesages to work. Whenever I click on it it gives me the folowing error

Run Time error:429
Description:ActiveX component can't create object
Source:ecsmca.ModMain.Main - clsXMLLocalizer.SetLanguage

I use an Ericsson R380s and a T68m-->i on windows XP. I have also doanloaded and installed the latest versions of phone moniter and other software from SE website.

I encountered this problem with PBTM version 2.0.157, use 2.0.183 and all these weird problems will be gone! As for me, it works.

check out the very first post on the this forum's sticky thread by arnoldc: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=3497&forum=17&start=120. it lists official and popular third-party software that works with your phone.

@arnoldc..The answers are Yes and No. I have the first entry which contains the phone name and etc. alright, but the second part which contains the contact information looks different. I remember I sent you my xml file before. Could it be that I copied the phone list from my old SIM card which used with Nokia 8210 before??? Thanks.
