Hi all just interested to see what peoples opinions are on this! I've had my W900 for ages now and although it's still a great phone I was hoping by now that an improved equivalent would have come out. SE certainly haven't brought it out by now although the W960 at the end of the year looks to fit the bill. I'm almost 2 years overdue an upgrade though and feel I should be taking advantage. If I upgrade now I'll be free to upgrade again next May by which time the W960 and hopefully several other options will be tried, tested and available.
Now my criteria doesn't seem too high for me yet I still can't seem to find the phone. Basically I'm looking for something that will be a genuine upgrade from my W900 so therefore at least as good a quality camera (min 2mp, autofocus, flash), good video recording quality (30fps on the W900), improved business features and in a form factor that's certainly no bigger than what I have now as the W900 is no svelte body!
I had a P910i before the W900 but am not one of these die hard SE users by any means. If another manufacturer offers me the right phone then it's them I'll be using. From all the research I've done on here etc I'm not seeing too many options. Nokia seem to come the closest though. The N95 offers the camera and video etc but I hear so many negative things re battery life and quality. I really like the sound of the E61i but am put off by the size and camera/video etc.
Over to the floor! Look forward to peoples opinions!

What about N93i?

The size issue. I'm looking for something smaller or worse case scenario the same size as my W900, the N93i is just too big for my liking and from what I can see the N95 spec meets my needs but in a smaller package.

its not that much bigger than W900. Only 12g heavier and 1mm thicker.
Another choice is the N80, its got a 3MP camera but no AF.

Thanks masseur as long as this one gets seen as much as the other was!
Still would go for an N95 over an N80 from what I've read QVGA and I hear the battery life is even worse on the N80!
So are people in agreement then that the Nokias are pretty much the only phones out there at the moment that can meet my criteria?!

N95's battery is not bad at all. Look at the phone, its a powerhouse, so the battery drains faster than in W900

Worryingly I just spoke to a friend of mine that works at Vodafone and he said that battery life may well be the killer for me. I easily make 2-3 hours of calls plus several texts throughout the day and based on a few of his colleagues use he doesn't feel that the phone would last the whole day based on that use. Which if true makes it a no go for me.

Why don't you go for the K810 or wait a little to get the P1? They are awesome too.

The P1 would be a nice option but it could easily be 2-3 months before that's released with SE's track record. I don't really see the K810 as that much of an upgrade from my W900. Better camera, worse video.
Really frustrating that a few years after the W900 came out there's hardly any phones out there to match it's features and then some in the same if not smaller package.

Well, if you wan't same or betteru quality video recording and still you want

phone, then wait for the P1. The W900 is the only non-smartphone from

that records video so good

. In any other way, only the smartphones record video just like you need. Afaik, most of nokia's are smartphones, but I don't find nokias that much easy to use. After all I don't want the buggy Symbian operating system and it's interface.
