In all seriousness now, I heard the N91 is the gold standard when it comes to music amongst phones. I have no idea how the N95 sounds as I own an N73 with the latest software update and music sounds darn good to me on it. The N95 should be the same or maybe even better?!

Are we talking about through the n95's speakers or headphones?
Maybe it is me... but the speakers are tinny...and sometimes can be distorted...

There's new firmware recently released for the N95 that's supposed to have solved sound quallity issues, especially the hissing some folks have reported. Seems like if you turn the volume up over 40% through the headphones there can be some hissing. I don't have it on my N95 but it's been talked about over at Howard Forums. The new firmware is also supposed to lengthen battery life, another sore spot with N95 users.

Hi all,
Well IMO listening to Music with Albums encoded in AAC @160kbps the sound is nothing short of stunning using a pair of Shure EC2g headphones the volume output from the N95 is both loud a clear and delivers a full and rich sound stage i tend to listen to Music @70% volume as am outside walking the dog. i have had no issues with any hissing or distortion either with Music or Voice calls or even when watching Video's and Films. So to sum it up i am more than satisfied with the sound from the N95.
Sorry deepu but you are very wrong i tried a W950 and not only is the volume no where near as good neither is the actual quality either IMO and this has actually been confirmed by others that have owned the W950 before getting a N95 so they have have been able to make long term comparisons. Listening through bluetooth headsets is also better on the N95 although this is not my preference.

How does MP3 differ from AAC?
