Windows VISTA Release Candidate...yeah what exactly is it?
is it like a BETA Ver.?
i took it from my friend,i have no idea frm where he got it but he has not used it yet.
it an Original DVD and says "Windows Vista Release Candidate 1".
and it says it will expire on June something and its a pre-release stuff like tht!
but i was wondering if i could install it and then update via online,will it be ok?
any ideas?

RC1 is the release copy on the OS before being released..

as long as it has an original cd key you should be ok!

Unless its build 6000 ,which is not the case as u said its a RC x,its not recommended to use,as its a beta.
As you can imagine,it will have loads of bugs,broken features etc...
and it has a 'timebomb' as well as i remember,it wont work/fully activated if year > dec 2006..

Of course it will be buggy. It's a BETA and even the finished product doesn't have all its bugs ironed out just yet.

The beta I was using was buggy. I'm not that sure about the RC1, but I can tell that the original version that I have now of Vista Ultimate works PERFECT.
