Ok... I've been a loyal SE fan since the P800... Never used another phone since the P800 (and then P900, P910, and finally a P990). I probably moved about 20-30 people to use the P-series over the last few years. The R6 update did it for me, phone is slower+not as reliable as R5+can't use my Bluetooth headset. I'm DONE for good now.

Now... where can I get a good deal on the E90???

I got my p990 this friday, and though it's too early for a "fair and balanced" review, here's what I love about it this far:

Obviously, I could go on and on, but for now I won't; but I will add that I bought it out of curiosity, not because I needed/wanted it! i was expecting a bit of a downer (considering the "debate" here, who wouldn'T? i should add that there's nothing wrong with it; second-hand but from a trusted vendor, in top condition)) - and it hasn't disappointed!!! Ha ha ha! It sucks! but I wouldn't have found it funny 6-8 months ago when I really wanted one, but (thankfully) it wasn't out yet in Ireland! good times!

Motorola sucks, don't even try to compare those. Motorola hasn't a phone close to the P990i yet...the closest comes "The Media Monster" but still lacks a good browser...
I am still unsatisfied with my phone because:
1. The 3G connection cuts off all the time (it's NOT the network) thus not being able to update my e-mails and RSS feeds. THIS really sucks. And when I wanna open a page , I get that "not connected" message and I have to put it to flight mode and back on "phone mode" to make it work....or restart it cuz "flight mode" isn't doing anything good.
2.I STILL (after all those updates) can't listen to music and browse the net at the same time...unless I restart it and be careful not to open too many apps. It works maybe half an hour then the memory leaks too much and it stops one of the two. For that I won't buy another SE. It SUCKS!
3. It takes 5 seconds to open Messages cuz I have 60 sms' in my Inobx, 50 in my "sent" folder and 25 e-mails in my e-mail folder. WHY so much memory for the system if it can"t open a damn folders quick?!!!!!!!
4. My screen wiggles and deepens each time I press it thus not allowing me at times to open a certain app or some shortcut. For that, I have to ake it to service!
5. I am a heavy user: I talk at least 1,5 hours a day on the phone, I use e-mails, rss feeds and internet for at least 2 hours per day and my f@cking phone dies on me at 7 PM! 14 hours of work and dies? So much for a business phone! An EXPENSIVE business phone I have a charger at home, at my office and in the car.
6.I would sell it but I can only get 250 euros on it (I have a 2GB card) and for that amount I won't sell it.
But at the moment I get 300 for it I will sell it and buy a WM 05 device. I test0drove one for 4 days - it don't like it as much as the SE but it has a bigger screen, GPS, it's stable and you can find 20.000 apps for it-can you imagine?!!!!!!

So, be aware, coming from some1 who was a SE fan since the P900: DON'T BUY IT, it'll eat all your nerves and will give you stomach aches!!!!

I understand the above sentiment completely. I also have been through P800 > P900 > P910 > P990.

But I am now DONE with it.

These little niggling problems which seem to arise with every firmware 'fix' have f***ed with me for the last time.

I bought an E90 for a work phone this evening. There is an unbelievably cool sense of calm in me at the moment.

My last SE phone too is the 8-th wonder of the world: P990i.
I don't care if they will offer another update, because they got it wrong: I don't need to upgrade the phone once a month or something, to reset and format and reinstall software, although it's a good option this online update, I just need a phone without bugs.
Too bad M600 users won't get updates for their phones.

A former fan since lot of years ago ( 2618, R320, T65, T68i, T300, Z200, P800, K750, W550i, K550im, W800, P990i ).
I'll keep this phone ( P990i ) till it dies, and that will be the last one!
By the way: another damn thing about SE marketing is the 2 kind of batteries; I live in Romania so I had to buy a phone but with the weak battery, the one with only 950 mAh instead of 1120 mAh. I don't get it why some people could buy phones having 1120 mAh and others who pay, maybe, the same price or even greater, receive a phone having 950 mAh???

I had have t68i, p900, p910 and p990i. And P990i is not reliable. Now I think I will buy a N95 which has more flexible connectivity, more features, and more software support.

yes, this is a thread "against" P990i! definitely...although i sold mine already 3 weeks ago, i still come to see here how people complain about this nonsense device.

guys, i switched to HTC Touch (P3450, Elf) which is really fantastic. but actually i am waiting to get the HTC Kaiser (P4550) which is THE mobile device!

here is what you get with it and: windows mobile 6 rules, not that crappy UIQ!
