Hi, My cousin broke someone's 6260, somehow...
They asked Nokia, who said theyd need to completely strip the firmware and reinstall. Knowing something about phones myself I offered to have a look on the net, as Nokia want £45/$90 for it. Is there a way this can be done? I'm used to Sony Ericsson phones, where you have Wotan/Davinci for firmware. Nokia has its own firmware update service but it doesnt cover the 6260, presumably as its a smartphone.

The phone often displays 'Startup failed contact retailer'
and also occasionally 'Sim card not valid' (I have tested it and there is no SIM lock).
Any help would be greatly appreciated
