I got the following email today after listing a book on Ebay last night:
We appreciate that you chose eBay to list the following auction-style listing(s):

Your listing(s) contains the following information:
Cash (Sent via recorded delivery and at buyers own risk)
You may offer to accept PayPal, credit cards including Mastercard/Visa /Amex/Discover, debit cards and bank electronic payments online for eBay purchases. You may also offer to accept bank-to-bank transfers, often known as bank wire transfers or bank cash transfers. You may only accept cash if it's on delivery or cash for in-person transactions. You’re not allowed to solicit buyers to send cash through the post.

What gets me is that I've had cash via recorded delivery in all my listings ever since I first registered on Ebay 4 years ago so why hasnt this been picked up sooner
It is a genuine email as well as it also came in my Ebay message alerts.

Think they've recently bought that policy in, I got caught out by that - I think they also must do keyword searches - I used to put on all my listings that Western Union is NOT accepted, but Turbo Lister wouldn't let me upload the listing as it was picking up 'Western Union' and not allowing it.
