> ipod and next apple announcement?

Hi am thinking of buying an ipod around September, October time. But just had a thought. Isnt that around the time when Apple normally announce the next generation ipods?
If so does anyone have any clue what they will be announcing?
And when the announcement will be?

No but then again if a new apple video is released its expected to be like an iphone with a wide touch screen... it will have new and improved features meaning prices will be be higher for approx the same storage and the old models decrese in price due to them ebig out of date technology.
When the 1st video ipod came out it retaild from £219 now you can buy them for £129 direct.... thats over a few years, but the 80gb ipod has been out for about a year and can be obtained for £150ish from certain distributors...
The new ipod arrival is inament, but there have been no offiial release dates yet... some speculate january febuary next year, but I feel it will be sooner aka in time for xmas.
