Has anyone else found that the connectors for these cables are really poorly made. Both the pins on the wall charger and the usb connector have got either bent or pushed in so they no longer work. Why does sony use such a crappy system for their conenctors. It's so easy to damage. I do take care when connecting them but somehow the pins have got pushed in. I wish sony would use a better connector, something like a usb style plug and socket would be better surely?

I still use the usb lead and charger that I got 2 years ago and dont have any trouble with either. Are you pulling the connector out correctly?

I've had problems with the Fastport connectors sometimes, I've had two SE genuine chargers where one of the small metal prongs has pushed itself in so that it won't charge the phone. I've been careful inserting/removing them too.

It's not the best design I admit, though I don't think SE's chargers are much less unreliable than other manufacturers. I've heard a lot of people are having problems with Nokia's new 'thin' type charger connector bending/breaking for example.

I must admit that I would prefer the mini-usb connector to be used.
