I need a little help with my built in browser... can anyone answer these questions?

1) Whats the maximum page size it can load? I know the old versions had a 500 kb limit and eldar's review says my phone has a 500 kb limit but my phone can load pages that my old phone couldn't! Its loaded everything I've tried.... does anyone know the limit?

2) How can I force my browser to view only html sites? i.e. when a site has both wap and html versions the wap version loads... very few sites have the ability to let you use the full html version. Is there an option somewhere that will let me load the html versions only and never the wap version?

My current phone is a k550i and my old phone was a Z550i

i guess you would have unlimited data plan. (that's why you try to open more than 500kb ) only you can tell your answer to your first question.
it would be stupid to ask but why you try to open html sites on your browser. those can be opened on operamini also with much speed. isn't?

Yep, I do have an unlimited data plan.... and its free too ( Airtel *wink*).

I wanted to open sites in the native browser because I wanted to try and download some stuff... For example attachments on hotmail... The wap service they provide does not allow this .]

I haven't seen a limit yet... It even managed to load one of Eldar's reviews.

I dont know about the limit, but id recommend everyone to try the new Opera Mini 4 Beta , its super fast, and loads page on full size . Its really worthwhile.

I believe that it is the web site that decides what kind of page to return. The web server detects what kind of device it is that is accessing the site, and if the browser signature is something similar to "Internet Explorer" or "Mozilla", etc, it returns the HTML version, while if the signature is something like "mobile phone", it returns the WML version. What you need is a modification of the web browser that conceals or fakes the browser signature. I non't know if that is possible.
