hi i updated my phone today and for some reason when i press the space bar to go to the phone and it's not responding right then i decided to reupdate it again and it's still doing the same thing. does anyone here is having the same problem?

yes mate, this is one of the bugs in the new firmware, when you press and hold spacbar to go to the fone menu, it just makes a sound and nuthing happens, we just have to wait till august for the new FW and pray that there arent any more supid bugs in that one

Indeed this is a bug that was introduced in the latest R6D23 firmware. CellPhoneSoft however released a small application to solve this. Refer to
http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32776 for the download and details. Note that you may have to register on the site first and that the application is unsigned, so you will have to sign it.

I thought the R6D23 was the last ever for the P990 am I missing something? or have
had a change of mind?

SE apparently decided to throw some acts of mercy upon the 990 users and promised us one, more firmware to fix all the major bugs.
Lets hope their stupid bugs are disappeared by the new firmware (due in august).

But if
are in a listening mood, stop launching silly mini sites (P1) and start launching the phone and build them better, Dont forget there are lots of nice phones from other manufacturers we can buy and recomend others to do the same!
