> Unusual Firmware upgrade

I just upgraded my N71 upgrade hoping a mere software update but it was much more than that.
Now the active standby fonts have changed, they're much better looking. Some menu icons have changed, I now can choose from a variety of shutter sounds. The speed of the phone has greatly increased.
Apart from the last one, are the rest of the changes normal after firmware upgrades?
